MARQUETTE -- The Warrior Relief Fund will be holding their second annual golf outing on September 8.

The golf outing will take place at the Red Fox Run golf course in Gwinn, and it's meant to raise money for veterans.

The Warrior Relief Fund is still looking for more sponsors for the event. Volunteers are being supplied by the Sons of the American Legion.

There are currently 44 teams of four signed up, and there is still room for many more. Proceeds from sponsors and registration costs go to the Warrior Relief Fund and the Jacobetti Home for Veterans.

"Veterans are just close to my heart," said WRF Event Coordinator Tim Mathie. "The assistance that you can give to somebody that is willing to fight for your freedoms is just a good cause."

For information on how to register as a golfer or a sponsor, visit the Warrior Relief Fund's website.
