MARQUETTE COUNTY -- The Witch Lake man that was arrested for allegedly stealing women's underwear and swimwear is having charges against him upgraded, according to Marquette County officials.

William Joseph Miller, 48, was arrested in July in connection to at least 10 instances of women's underwear and swimwear being stolen from camps around Witch Lake.

Miller was originally charged with two counts of larceny over $200, but under $1,000 and one count of breaking and entering a vehicle to steal property valued under $200. The first two charges of larceny were originally misdemeanors, but have been upgraded to felony charges. The upgraded charges are a result of being a second or subsequent offense.

Each of the new felony charges Miller faces are worth five years in prison if convicted and possibly a $10,000 fine for each count. His bond has been set at $5,000 on each of the three charges. Miller is currently lodged in the Marquette County Jail, and is a registered sex offender.
