IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Iron Mountain School superintendent says he won't let Tuesday night's loss discourage them.
Staff say the needs and inefficiencies in the school are still there and aren't going away. They hope to reevaluate where they went wrong and come up with a better approach to get the message across to voters.
"Reassess the whole situation and bring it back before the voters in 2013," said Superintendent of Iron Mountain Schools, Tom Jayne, of their strategy moving forward.
The $11 million bond proposal would have increased personal property taxes by $53 a year on average and be used to improve outdated lighting, heating, and technology.
