HANNAHVILLE -- It's called National Night Out, and it's the third year the Hannahville Tribal Police Department has held the community event.
Tuesday night's event was held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hannahville gathering grounds in Wilson.
It's a crime prevention and drug prevention program to get community partnership between families and law enforcement.
Over 100 people were in attendance.
"An event like this is important because for so many police departments now, community policing is one of the most important goals that we have. We want to have a good relationship between the community and law enforcement," said School Resource Officer, Kenneth Taylor.
Officials from public health, fire departments, the Menominee County Sheriff's Department, and the Delta County Dive Team were in attendance.
