ESCANABA -- It's called "Thunder Over Delta County," and it's an adrenalin-packed air show that will feature performers from the U.S. military, Dacy air shows, and Sick Air FMX.

It doesn't take place until July 27 and 28 of 2013.  A press conference was held at the Delta County Airport as an official community announcement.

The family event will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there will also be airplane displays, food vendors, and music.

Officials say it'll take between $55,000 to $60,000 to bring the event to the airport.

"We not only need the public involved to buy tickets, we need people who want to volunteer.  We're looking for all of our local officials from city to county.  If we have to grab state officials, you know, anybody we can get our hands on is what we're really looking forward to," said Assistant Airport Manager, Kelly Smith.

Pre-ticket sales can be purchased at www.upairshow.com.  The discount rate is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
