Name released in fatal motorcycle crash

NEGAUNEE TWP -- The name of the person killed in Friday's motorcycle crash in Negaunee Township has been released.

Anthony L. Eagle, 46, of Negaunee was pronounced dead at the scene on US-41 shortly after 9 a.m Friday. A semi truck headed east was slowing down to make a left turn when Eagle was unable to stop and hit the rear of the semi, police said. The driver of the semi was identified as Robert J. Young, 56, of Escanaba.

Investigation is ongoing. The Marquette County Sheriff's Department, Michigan State Police along with its Commercial Motor Carrier Division, Negaunee Township Fire Department and Marquette General EMS assisted on scene.
