MARQUETTE CO. -- A group of bikers took a tour of the new Iron Ore Heritage Trail on Friday.

The Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority has been receiving many calls with questions about the new trail so they organized a bike tour to introduce it to the public. A total of 25 bikers went along for the ride, but only two made it all the way to the end by the Soo Line bridge.

The feedback from the bikers was overwhelmingly positive.

"I've been back there a few times, and it's really pretty back there, and it's going to be a great addition to the Iron Ore Heritage Trail in Marquette County," said Tommy Ogle, a biker.

If more people express an interest, another tour may be organized before more construction begins on August 13. For more information, contact Carol at (906) 235-2923.
