MARQUETTE -- Some possible future Wildcats got a chance to cure their case of football fever at Northern Michigan University.

Elementary-aged students signed up to learn the basics of football from NMU Wildcats. The kids went through basic warm-up drills and then broke into groups.

They then learned drills for receivers, quarterbacks and linemen.

"They're young, they're learning. We just want the kids to come along together and just have a great time here and, you know, our guys love doing this stuff. It reminds them of when they were kids," said NMU running back coach, Brian Mitz.

The camp started Monday and will last through Wednesday. The cost is $50 a student, and following the camp the kids all get signed Wildcat apparel.
