MACKINAC CO. -- Four boaters who were reported missing Thursday night have been rescued.
A mother, her two daughters and her son were canoeing the Carp River near Moran in Mackinac County late Friday afternoon. Her husband contacted authorities just before 11 p.m. when they didn't return. Police agencies, along with the DNR and a Coast Guard helicopter, launched a search operation. The Coast Guard spotted the missing boaters just after 5 a.m. Friday. They were taken by helicopter to the St. Ignace airport.
All four are in good health.
