MARQUETTE -- Friday will mark the 11th year Marquette's Downtown Development Authority has hosted the Blueberry Fest.

Downtown will be packed with nearly 100 vendors, live music, and dance festivals. Many children's activities are planned as well.

"What it's really turned into is just a wonderful community event," said Mona Lang of the Marquette DDA. "It really has, and it's a way for our local businesses and shops to come out--they come out onto the sidewalks--and for people to really find out what downtown Marquette is all about."

The festival starts at 10 a.m. on Friday and goes until 7 p.m. The Blueberry Jam live music performances start at 1 p.m. and continue until the end of the festival.
