NEGAUNEE -- Grease is the word at the Vista Theatre in Negaunee.

The Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council will be presenting Grease starting Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.

The cast includes a wide range of ages and talents. The show has been called a classic American musical featuring a healthy dose of comedy and tunes from the 1950s.

"Grease is just one of those shows that anybody that comes to see it, they can relate to something about it," said Director Alfred Keefer. "They either remember when the movie came out in the late '70s or they remember when they were in high school. There's just elements of that show that just pop out for everybody that sees it, and it's fun and exciting and everybody knows the songs."

Tickets for the show are $12 for adults and $8 for students. Opening night for Grease is Thursday night. The show will run through Saturday and then resume August 1-4. For more on the Vista Theatre, click here.
