IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Dickinson County Prosecutor's office has decided to file charges against two people accused of neglecting over 60 animals.

Earlier this month, 30 horses, 19 dogs and 15 cats were rescued from a property in Sagola.

Two people have been charged with four counts of misdemeanor cruelty to animals at two locations.  Their names have not been released.

Each count carries up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $2,000.  The court may also order them to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, pay for cost of care and be forbidden to own animals.

The two people charged will be arraigned August 2.
