MARINETTE COUNTY -- A man wanted by Green Bay Police in connection to a recent stabbing of two women was arrested in Marinette County on Thursday.

The Marinette County Sheriff's Department reported that on Thursday evening the fugitive, 38-year-old Eric Omdahl, was spotted by a citizen after recent media coverage. Deputies from the sheriff's office were not far from the sighting and pulled over the suspect's vehicle in the Stephenson Town Hall parking lot.

Omdahl was taken into custody and transported to the Bay Area Medical Center for treatment of what he said were previously self-inflicted knife wounds.

The sheriff's office said that Omdahl will be turned over to Brown County/Green Bay law enforcement officials.
