MARQUETTE -- The annual Great Start Collaborative luncheon took place Monday at the MARESA building in Marquette.
Anyone who has an interest in early child care education was invited to attend the barbeque lunch, where the group discussed concerns and ideas about bettering children. One of the biggest concerns addressed was financial aid for early education.
"Early childhood affects really everybody in the community, not just the parents of young children. Everybody in the community is affected by how well children are doing, and how it's important for everybody to come together and give their support to early childhood issues," said Corey Holcomb of the Great Start Collaborative.
The Great Start Collaborative is meeting again in September.
