Another warm one in the UP for Sunday. Highs will mainly be in the 80s, but light and variable winds will keep it less warm by the lakes. It may exceed 90 in the western interior. Skies should see lots of sunshine throughout the day.
A warm front will be passing the UP late Sunday night. Lows will remain very mild in the low to mid 60s. Skies should be mostly clear, but some clouds will move in from the northwest very late.
Monday will be hot in the upper 80s to low 90s. The National Weather Service is offering some safety tips for the heat. Winds will be strong out of the south and skies should be mostly cloudy. Rain or even a thunderstorm is possible in the daytime along the warm front, but it will mainly be concentrated to the north.
Monday evening is a different story. Thunderstorms are very likely as the low pressure center travels directly over the UP. As it passes, we will also see more storms along the cold front. Winds shift out of the north late, but lows should be warm in the upper 60s to 70.
Rain may linger through Tuesday morning, but skies should clear up by the afternoon. It will also be cooler and seasonable in the 70s. After Monday, things are looking dry for a few days, and we will warm up into the 80s again by next weekend.
