A cold front has decided that it wants to make my job more challenging for Saturday. Depending on the time that it passes your area, high temperatures could vary greatly. For the most part, the eastern half of the U.P. will reach into the 80s. The central and western counties should mainly be 80 or a little less warm in the 70s. Partly cloudy skies will start out the day, but cloud cover will increase with the cold front. It should pass by the majority of the U.P. from the west during the afternoon hours. Expect plenty of rain and thunderstorms along the front in the afternoon.
As the front moves eastward over Saturday night, skies should steadily clear up behind it. The eastern counties should see more rain until the front exits the U.P. late. Some fog is likely behind the front. Lows will be down into the 60s, but the western interior should see some 50s.
Sunday should be much more pleasant with highs back up into the 80s and mostly sunny skies. A light northerly wind will keep it coolest along Lake Superior.
Sunday night's lows will only fall into the 60s. Winds will be near calm, but they should start to take up a more southerly flow overnight into Monday.
Monday will be hot with highs in the low 90s as we feel a strong south wind ahead of the system. Skies should see plenty of sunshine, but in the evening it's a different story.
Mondy night will see some heavy rain and thunderstorms as the low pressure center passes very near to the U.P. Lows will only fall into the upper 60s to low 70s.
