NEGAUNEE -- As a part of the Pioneer Days celebration, the Negaunee Historical Society is holding its annual historic homes tours.

Friday afternoon, visitors will be able to tour inside homes and some important historic buildings in the city. The homes are located on Peck, Main and Gold Streets. Many of the homes were constructed in the 1880s and have been maintained or, in some cases, restored.

"Just about all the houses we show on our tour this year and in past years are grand houses. Negaunee has some very unique houses, and they'll have fun seeing them all," said Suzanne Morris of the Negaunee Historical Society.

The tours are from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday. The cost is eight dollars, and refreshments will be served after the tours at the Negaunee Historical Museum on the corner of Main Street.
