MARQUETTE -- Governor Rick Snyder's staff is making government more accessible, holding mobile office hours throughout the state.

The governor's constituent services staff stopped at Babycakes Muffin Company in Marquette on Wednesday morning, taking questions and concerns about state issues. The statewide tour includes 64 cities over 19 days.

This new method is part of the governor's efforts toward a transparent, connected state government.

"Some people were talking about the budget, or what are we going to do in regards to infrastructure, or the emergency managers," said Ania Bieciuk of Constituent Relations. "Basically anything and everything is up for grabs."

The governor's staff spent time in Negaunee and Houghton on Wednesday as well.

They head to the western U.P. on Thursday, stopping in Ironwood, Iron River, and Iron Mountain.
