CALUMET TOWNSHIP -- A 21-year-old Calumet man is in jail after drugs were discovered during a traffic stop, according to police.

Michigan State Police stopped a vehicle driven by Joshua Beaudoin because of a loud exhaust on M-26 near Pepin Road.  During the stop, police said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car.

After further investigation, items for measuring and selling marijuana were discovered, along with bags of marijuana and a large amount of prescription pills, according to police.

Beaudoin was arrested and taken to the Houghton County Jail.  He was arraigned in court on Thursday for charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession with intent to deliver prescription drugs.  His bond was set at 10 percent of $10,000.
