CHASSELL -- Quilters from around the Copper Country are getting ready for their 8th Annual Strawberry Festival Quilt Show.

Over 90 newly designed quilts will be on display Friday and Saturday inside Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chassell.

The money raised will go to the Copper Country Humane Society.

“These quilters are wonderful women in many regards, and they’re all animal lovers. So they are helping primarily with spay and neuter efforts with the shelter. That is really our number one effort in terms of veterinary care," said Copper Country Humane Society volunteer Teresa Woods.

Over the past eight years the quilters have given $15,000 to the animal shelter.

If you’re interested in seeing the quilts, doors open at 10 a.m. Friday, and admission is $5.
