Motorcycle enthusiasts honored veterans from the Jacobetti Home
MARQUETTE -- Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiasts honored veterans from the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans by kicking off Marquette's fourth of July parade.
Bikers met at the Bald Eagle Harley Davidson motorcycle dealership in Marquette around one Wednesday afternoon, before parading down Washington Street.
The Jacobetti Home and Marquette City Police provided participants with fifty American flags.
Organizers say more than seventy bikers took part in the parade including a mix of men and women from multiple branches of the military.
"This is pretty much in honor of the veterans that are in the Jacobetti Center, to make sure they have a nice day, to be able to watch us parade and we're all humbled by this, that's why we do this." Said parade participant Al Ison.
The parade took riders down Washington Street to Third Street, and ended at Front Street.
