MUNISING -- Thousands flocked to Munising on Saturday to admire and buy some U.P. art.
It was the sixth annual Munising Bay Arts Festival at Bayshore Park. A total of 25 vendors had tents full of their artwork for sale, jewelry, paintings, pictures, and some unique crafts. Food was plentiful, and pizza out of the brick oven was a big hit. Visitors enjoyed some live music. A professional clown taught families circus tricks.
To top it all off, the weather couldn't have been better for a day outdoors.
"Just a fabulous day, the weather has cooperated," said Phyllis Northup, co-chair of the Munising Bay Arts Association.
"We've got just a fabulous collection of arts and activities going on all day, and it's just going to be a great festival."
The festival has been growing each year, and the Munising Bay Arts Association is already looking forward to next year.
