MARQUETTE -- Some families used their singing talents and dance moves on Friday to follow along with a performance in Marquette.
Returning musician Laszlo Slomovits came from Ann Arbor to get the crowd moving at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette. Part of a U.P. book tour, he has partnered with an author to bring to life poetry for children and their parents.
He and his twin brother, Sandor, started performing folk music for adults, but after being recruited to various schools, they haven't looked back.
"I really enjoy it and they seem to also, and I think music is great for kids," said Slomovits. "It teaches them all sorts of things and it gives them a chance to express themselves so that's a large part of our focus now, playing for kids and families."
