MARQUETTE -- Jacobetti veterans and staff have another reason to celebrate this Fourth of July...the annual Marquette City Parade is honoring them.
The parade is set to start at 2 p.m. beginning at the corner of Washington and McClellan Avenue, then make its way toward the lake.
Twenty minutes before the parade starts, about 50 motorcycle riders will ride down the route, waving flags as a tribute to the veterans. The cyclers are calling themselves Rumbling Thunder.
"These are the people that laid down their tools, their uniforms, and went in the service, not necessarily at war, but went into service and did their time to protect and defend our country and our liberties and hopefully extend liberties to other countries in the world that hasn't enjoyed them," said Larry Chabot of the Parade Committee.
The committee says the streets fill up quickly, so be sure to get there early to secure a spot.
