MARQUETTE -- It's celebrated by thousands of people in more than 160 countries.  Olympic Day.  And it's exactly what the USOEC Olympic Weightlifting Team did in Marquette.

With dozens of Wildcat Youth Camp spectators, the team showcased the skills they'll be taking to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London this July.

The event was aimed at promoting fitness and well being.  And some of the youth even had a chance to get a good grip on the bars.

"We're an amateur sport. We're not getting paid to do this; they're doing this because they love the sport and they love to demonstrate to younger kids and just show that we have more to give back to the community and get more support for the program," said USOEC Weightlifting Coach Vance Newgard.

The Wildcat Youth Camp will spend much of the week learning about the Olympics.
