FORSYTH TOWNSHIP -- The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and ATF agents worked together on a case in Forsyth Township.

They were alerted that the occupant of a home on Albatross Street possibly possessed an illegal firearm and was in violation of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act.  A warranted search of the home was conducted, finding the suspect and a two-year-old girl, along with a marijuana growing operation, and a firearm.

The suspect was detained and released.

The case has been handed over to the Marquette County Prosecutor's Office for review.
