BARK RIVER -- A new winery is taking root in Bark River, and it's a state-grown winery with all of the grapes grown on site.

Susan and Dave Anthony are the owners of Northern Sun Winery.  They harvested five-and-a-half tons of grapes last year, and three-and-a-half acres are planted.  The winery officially opened on Thursday.

Ms. Anthony says they're already selling the wine and that it's rewarding to bring business to the area.

"Just the process of seeing something grown locally and making the wine locally and then bringing business to the area," said Anthony.  "We hope to actually extend and perhaps make a wine trail."

Though the winery is open now, the Northern Sun Winery's grand opening will be sometime in July.
