Happy Father's Day! Sunday will be a beautiful day to spend time outside. It will be a bit breezy but should otherwise be relatively warm with highs in the 70s. Skies will be mostly sunny.
Sunday night will see lows falling to around 60. Skies will be mostly clear ahead of an incoming warm front from the southwest. Late Sunday night a warm front will bring an increase of clouds as well as rain and some thunderstorms overnight moving eastward.
Storms should last most of Monday. A low pressure center will pass very near to the U.P. causing some heavy rain at times and a chance for some severe weather, like strong winds and hail. Rainfall totals across Monday could bring more than an inch of rain. The warm front will bring highs into the low 80s. The Storm Prediciton Center has issued a Slight Risk for severe weather on Monday.
Monday night will likely see more rain and storms, but the most intense action should be in the daytime as the low pressure system moves away. Lows will be in the low 60s.
Another cold front will pass from the north on Tuesday bringing a few more storms and showers. In fact, there's a chance of rain throughout almost every day until next weekend. We could certainly use the rain!
