IRON MOUNTAIN -- Kids had a chance to compete, creating delicious dessert creations.

The "Teen Iron Chef" competition was Thursday afternoon at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.  Nine groups of two were provided twenty varying ingredients and one secret ingredient in each round.

The team of 13-year-old Eden Lawson and 14-year-old Lynea Hawtamaki won the competition with their beach creation.

"We wanted to represent summer, so we did the beach, and this is the sand and this is the water and then the gummy bears represent the people at the beach," said the winners.

The two rounds were judged on creativity, originality and presentation.  Contestants were allowed to eat their creations following the competition.
