CHAMPION -- Dogs and their best friends spent part of the weekend outdoors, bonding with each other.

Van Riper State Park and UPAWS partnered up for Paws in the Park, where hot dogs were served for some other hot dogs on Saturday, as temperatures got pretty warm.  Among the activities there was a pet photo booth, a pet parade, and agility training

Organizers say the event is meant to help the bonding experience.

"You see how your dogs interact with other dogs and whether or not they're meant to be agility dogs or whether they're more of the lay around and slow, easy walk type of dog, so it's definitely been a real fun day to see all the dogs, and some of them are dressed up in their little outfits so it's really cute," said Van Riper Park Officer Matena Coron.
