Members of the Breitung Township Fire Rescue extricated her from her car

IRON MT. -- A teenager was taken to the hospital Saturday after a pickup truck T-boned her car, trapping her inside, police said.

It happened shortly before 11 a.m. in Iron Mountain. The 16-year-old Norway girl made a left turn from Park Street onto US-2 and drove right into the path of the Ford pickup heading westbound. Members of the Breitung Township Fire Rescue extricated her from her car.

She's being treated at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. She was cited for failing to yield the right of way. The 33-year-old driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
