MARQUETTE -- The Jacobetti Home for Veterans saw a special performance aimed at honoring and entertaining those who have served our country.

A group called Re-Creation USA put on a song and dance show that covers a wide range of acts.  The show is called Everyday People and features classic songs from the '50s through the '70s.

"We are there to thank them, but it's also an honor when they thank us, and it can be a really emotional time. It's really great to be able to reach out to them when nobody else really does," said Ashley Krochta of Re-Creation USA.

The group is based in Pennsylvania and travels to veterans homes across the country.  The Michigan Elks Club hosts the Re-Creation USA group and provides meals and lodging for the entertainers.
