MARQUETTE -- Room at the Inn is a finalist for the Lumen Christi Award as nominated by the Marquette Catholic Diocese. The award honors groups that help spread the light of Christ in their communities.
Room at the Inn is a traveling homeless shelter in Marquette run by 12 churches of different faiths.
"It involves many many volunteers from many churches that come together to serve the people. Each night that they come, they're provided with a warm meal, a place to sleep and some company," said Terri Gadzinski of the Diocese.

The winner will receive $50,000 which will be split with whomever nominated them.
Voting continues through this Friday, June 1.
