NEWBERRY -- The American Red Cross has an evacuation center at the youth center in Newberry open for those affected by the fire.  The center has been open since Thursday.  They are providing a place to stay overnight, food, some clothing, and toiletries.  But they're doing more than just giving out supplies.

"We've been able to reconnect people with family.  They come into the center and give us a name and address and phone number for family contacts and then when their loved ones show up we can refer them to where they're located and reunite some of them," said Jeff Selensky of the American Red Cross.

The center is open all day every day until further notice.  They are asking for donations of any kind to be dropped off at the Youth Center in Newberry.
