CALUMET -- Seniors from Calumet High School are helping build an outdoor shed.  This project is a part of the students' carpentry class.  Every year the students volunteer their time and help with a community project, and this particular one is for Habitat for Humanity.

"It's a great example of education and education at Calumet High School, where we have talented students that have an opportunity to use their talents, not only to increase their abilities, but also to give back to the community," said Calumet High School Principal, George Twardzik.

During the carpentry class, students learn how to draft and read architectural plans.  They also learn how to plan out an entire project and build structures from the ground up.
