MARQUETTE -- A building on the old Lakeshore Incorporated property is getting torn down.

Cranes started tearing down the pattern building and will continue to do so for the next few days.  The property was purchased in February with the intent of turning the location into a bed and breakfast.

"We feel great," said the new owner Ken Schauland.  "It's a great opportunity.  We like the location, and it'll be a challenge to build the bed and breakfast and help people who live in different places to come and be able to stay by the lake."

He hopes to start building the new bed and breakfast in spring of next year.
