After a warm front passed on Friday, things have gotten practically summer-like. We're still feeling the effects of a strong southerly flow that will last until a cold front passes on Sunday.
Fire weather is a concern for Saturday. Red Flag Warnings are in effect. Make sure you keep your eyes open for wildfires.
For Saturday, expect most highs well above average in the 80s. It will be less warm near the lakes, but especially near Lake Michigan with that south wind right off of the lake. Highs in those areas should only get into the 60s. Skies will be sunny and winds will be quite breezy.
Lows Saturday night will mainly be in the low 60s or perhaps upper 50s along the Wisconsin line. Skies will be mostly clear. Late overnight into Sunday morning, a cold front will be passing that will bring an increase of clouds and rain to the west.
Over the course of Sunday, expect conditions to be warm and mostly sunny ahead of the front, but along and behind the front, conditions will become overcast with rain. Highs will range from the 70s to the low 80s and again cooler near Lake Michigan.
The front will have crossed most or all of Upper Michigan by late in the evening. Rain should continue overnight. There may even be a chance for some thunder. Winds will be lighter on Sunday night and lows will fall only into the 40s.
Unfortunately, it does not look like the U.P. will be able to see the annular solar eclipse Sunday night.
Rain is likely to continue much of Monday, but it should steadily clear away. Much of the forecast looks to be warmer than average, getting back into the 70s by midweek.
