MENOMINEE -- Two Menominee students arrested for allegedly making a bomb threat will be "prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," according to Menominee County Sheriff Kenny Marks.
"Bomb threats will not be tolerated," said Sheriff Marks.
The 17 and 18-year-old Menominee High School students could face four years in prison and/or $2,000 in fines. The students could also be forced to pay back the government for responding to a false report.
The Menominee County Sheriff's Department is reminding parents to explain the issue to their children, and says that bomb threats are not taken lightly by law enforcement. A previous bomb threat at Menominee High School resulted in a female student being charged with a felony, which is pending in Menominee Circuit Court.
"We will find those who are responsible," Sheriff Marks added. "It is a terroristic act and it will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
