CRYSTAL FALLS -- Scott Dianda of Calumet is on the campaign trail again, running as a Democrat for the 110th District State House seat.  He kicked off his campaign Monday in Bessemer. Later in the morning, he was in Crystal Falls at the Iron County Courthouse.

Dianda says he's fighting to preserve jobs and promote job growth for the people of Upper Michigan by investing more in small businesses and growing industries.

"We're not going to gain more business by shrinking all of our services.  I think we need to fund our area properly, so we have good control of our schools, our communities are going to strive, we are going to get more businesses to come here to Michigan," said Dianda.

In 2010, Democrat Dianda and Republican Matt Huuki went head-to-head in the general election for the 110th District seat.

Huuki currently holds the seat and is running for reelection.
