People walked through different areas of Pictured Rocks, looking for different kinds of wildflowers

MUNISING -- Several people filled the woods just outside of Munising Saturday afternoon. Their mission? Finding all sorts of wildflowers.

This is the 21st year of the walk. People walked through different areas of Pictured Rocks, looking for different kinds of wildflowers.

"What we try to do is encourage people to take photographs and just look at all unique spring wildflowers that are here, and we're seeing a nice variety even though our spring this year is a bit odd," said Deb LaBlanc, a plant biologist.

LaBlanc also suggests not picking them as they are protected under Michigan law.
