John Lechner had been scheduled to go on trial in federal court in Marquette on Monday

MARQUETTE -- The trial for a Sault Ste. Marie man facing federal explosives charges has been pushed back.

John Lechner had been scheduled to go on trial in federal court in Marquette on Monday. Instead, a pre-trial conference is set for May 17. Lechner was arrested in September after an informant said Lechner wanted help to move a large quantity of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil.
