SAWYER -- After nine years of service the manager at Sawyer International Airport is ready to say good bye.

Monday morning a special reception was held for Keith Kaspari at the airport services building.  Friends and co-workers came to bid farewell to the out-going manager, who will officially resign Tuesday.

At the reception Kaspari took time to say thanks to all of those who supported him during his tenure.

"Well it's real touching, a bunch of family and friends and colleagues that have come out and business leaders throughout the community have come to give me their best wishes and good luck and that means a great deal to me, I'm really touched by that," said Kaspari.

Kaspari accepted a job as Deputy Director for the Capitol Regional Airport in Lansing.

His first day is May 14.
