MARQUETTE -- The YMCA of Marquette was a busy place Saturday, keeping kids entertained during Healthy Kids Day.

The event is a national push to keep the youth mentally and physically healthy. And staff at the Y tried to do just that with healthy snacks, proper hygiene education and games.

"It's important to start at an early age to develop a habit and keeping the kids excited about it; it's harder to develop that habit when you get older," said coordinator Kelsey Roy. "Just keeping the kids active throughout life will just keep them maintaining their healthier lifestyle."

Best Buy and the U.S. Coast Guard were among the organizations there.
