Well we're feeling the effects of another high pressure regime not unlike last weekend. Saturday morning, it's center is just a bit to our north, so we're feeling a relatively weak easterly wind.
Saturday's winds will remain light, but picking up a bit this afternoon and evening to upwards of 10 mph. Highs will be mainly in the 40s, but warmest on the Wisconsin line with highs likely to exceed 50. Lots of sunshine (after morning clouds clear away) should make it feel a bit warmer.
By the time Saturday night rolls around, that high pressure center will be much closer to the UP, so skies should be completely clear and winds will be light to calm. Lows will be cold in the low to mid 20s, and possibly colder in the western interior.
As that high pressure center moves eastward, a southerly flow will take over sometime on Sunday and temperatures will start to warm up. Sunday's highs will mostly be in the mid 50s. Winds will generally be light, but pick up a bit out of the south throughout the day. Skies will again be nice and sunny.
Sunday night, lows will fall into the 30s mainly. Everywhere in the UP should remain above freezing, but it will again likely be coldest toward Wisconsin. A shift in the weather arrives, however, with a weak low pressure system that will bring a thicker cloud cover and scattered rain likely late Sunday night.
Rain should last most of Monday, but clear up in time for Tuesday. Ultimately, the upcoming week looks to be steadily warmer with highs eventually reaching into the 60s, but with more rain likely Wednesday and Thursday.
