MARQUETTE -- The criminal case against the owner of the Marquette business, adult novelty store Backroom Obsessions, has been resolved in a plea deal.

Last December, police seized several dangerous items, including bath salts, from the store.

Under the agreement, the owner, 46-year-old Michael Jestila, will have a criminal charge, a nuisance complaint and two forfeiture actions against him dropped.

In return, he'll pay the Marquette Police Department $20,000, permanently close the building, and never again do business in Marquette County.

He's still facing similar charges in Houghton.
