MARQUETTE -- NMU's Jacobetti Center commons area was transformed into a jungle Friday night.  The hospitality management students held their annual banquet, and the theme was "Escape to the Jungle."  The students have been working hard and planned every aspect of the event.  They sold every seat available and had plenty to keep them entertained including a limbo competition, photo booth and live music.

"It makes me feel like a success at teaching. They're the ones that really do all the work with a little guidance from me; it just thrills me, it gives me great hope for their futures," said Deborah Pearce, a professor at NMU.

Guests were treated to a five-course meal that was all prepared by the students, including honey-glazed pork.  The banquet serves as the culmination of a year's worth of studying and preparation.
