SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY -- Cell phone service is not working in Schoolcraft County. If you have an emergency, dial 911 from a landline and the Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Office will put you in touch with the proper authorities.
State Police say Century Telephone is working on the problem. There's no word yet on what caused the outage or when service will be restored.
Delta County is also experiencing cell and landline phone outages east of Rapid River in the 474 and 644 exchanges. Police say the appropriate phone companies are working on that problem as well.
