Fire damages Chocolay Township home

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP -- Fire broke out at a home in Chocolay Township Wednesday evening.  Firefighters were called to 120 Katers Drive just after 6:30 p.m.

The fire started in the garage. No one was inside the garage at the time and there were no injuries.  The garage was destroyed and two bedrooms sustained water damage.

Marquette Township, Sands Township and Skandia West Branch Township Fire Departments also assisted at the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
