MARQUETTE -- The Gwinn man, who fled a Marquette County courtroom earlier this year, found himself back in that very courtroom Monday for sentencing.

Twenty-seven-year-old Troy Luoma was sentenced to 210 days for contempt of court and escaping lawful custody for his escape on January 26.  He was also sentenced to 93 days in the Marquette County Jail for a separate charge of domestic assault.

"It's really an offensive thing when we have a bunch of law enforcement running around.  We have civilians in the hallway.  Sometimes we have children in the hallway...to have to have somebody disrupt in that way," said District Court Judge Roger Kangas.

Judge Kangas did grant Luoma a work pass while serving time at the Marquette County Jail.
