HOUGHTON -- Two drivers were unharmed after an accident on US-41 in Houghton involving an SUV and a semi truck.

The driver of a green Trailblazer lost her rear tire, which then rolled onto the other side of the highway and into the path of a semi truck.  The tire damaged the semi's oil pan, causing oil to spill onto the highway.

Firefighters immediately used an absorbent compound to help clear away the oil.  The Houghton Police Department and the Houghton Fire Department responded to the accident.

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
